(un)knowing

Collaborative Queer Poetry

(un)knowing is an anthology of shared female and queer experiences from people across Savanah and Boston. This collection explores the experience of flowing in and out of knowing–oneself, the people in their life, religion and society.

(un)knowing is the curation of queer experiences shared by survey respondents turned into poetry. Over the course of 10 weeks, more than 50 individuals ages 18-35 responded to an open-response survey covering themes relating to the queer and female experience.

The book was displayed at my joint MFA thesis exhibition, Odd Numbers. The anthology aims to enlighten and, or reassure its readers.

The book progresses from a state of unknowing to knowing oneself despite society’s heteronormative culture and internalized homophobia.
